Privacy

Shotivo analyzes screenshots on your device.

The information Shotivo uses and the choices you control.

Shotivo does not upload photo content to our servers or external AI services. Apple sync and backup settings, purchases, advertising and email services are separate from this on-device analysis.

Operator and scope

Shotivo is operated by Kaan Arda Yaşar, who lives in Türkiye and is the data controller for the operator activities described here. Contact shotivo@outlook.com about privacy. This text explains screenshot processing in the iPhone app, purchases, advertising and support communications. Purchase and advertising features apply only in versions where they are offered.

Photo access and on-device analysis

Shotivo requests Apple Photo Library access to find and display allowed screenshots, recognize their text, classify them and perform deletions you confirm. Limited access restricts processing to selected items. Change access in iPhone Settings. Screenshot images, thumbnails, recognized text, barcodes, similarity information, categories, suggested actions and cleaning history are processed on your device. Shotivo does not upload this photo-derived content to us, the advertising service or an external AI service.

iCloud and opening other apps

When you explicitly open an iCloud-backed screenshot, Apple Photos may download it according to your iCloud settings. Shotivo still analyzes it locally. If you choose to open a link, address or another suggested action, the selected value may be passed to the destination app. That service’s privacy practices apply. Copying a value to the clipboard also happens at your request.

Local records, backups and deletion

Shotivo keeps its search index, preferences, protection marks, review sessions, analysis progress and cleaning history locally. Apple Photos sync and device backups follow your Apple settings; backups may include Shotivo’s local index and history. Shotivo does not manage or remotely access these backups. Removing the app generally removes its local data; your Apple Photos library and existing backups are managed separately. Marking does not delete an image. A deletion request is sent to Apple only after review and explicit confirmation. Items may remain in Recently Deleted; immediate free space and automatic undo are not promised.

Shotivo Pro and purchases

Apple processes purchases. Shotivo reads App Store product details and verified current entitlements to unlock features. You do not enter card information into Shotivo. Current prices and conditions are shown before purchase. Apple’s transaction and privacy practices apply.

Advertising and privacy choices

The free version may use Google Mobile Ads after the required consent flow. Google states that its service may process IP addresses and inferred general location, device identifiers, advertising and product interactions, performance and crash information. These data may be used for ad delivery, measurement and service performance. Shotivo does not send screenshots, recognized text, search queries or extracted private information to ads. Ad requests are configured as non-personalized; this does not mean that no technical data is processed. Shotivo Pro disables ads. Available advertising privacy choices can be reopened from Settings, and consent-based choices can be changed later.

Optional notifications

The daily review reminder is off by default. If you enable it, Shotivo asks for notification permission and schedules the reminder locally. In version 1.1 and later, where available, you can also choose a date for a local screenshot reminder. Its notification text is generic: the image, recognized text and collection name are not included in the lock-screen notification. You can cancel a reminder in the app and change notification access in iOS Settings. Scheduling does not guarantee display; iOS notification and Focus settings apply.

Support email and this website

If you email us, your email address, message and any voluntarily included information are processed to address your support request. Do not send passwords, payment information or sensitive screenshots. Support email is provided through Microsoft Outlook. This site contains no screenshot-upload form, app-specific user accounts or added marketing analytics tool. Hosting and security providers may process connection and technical access data as part of serving the site.

Your personal data rights

Where the conditions under Türkiye’s KVKK apply, you may ask whether your data is processed, request information about processing, learn its purpose and whether use matches that purpose, learn who received it, request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, request deletion or destruction, and ask that recipients be notified of those measures. You may object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis and seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. Shotivo cannot remotely access local screenshots that are not sent to us.

Requests and safe communication

Send privacy questions and requests to shotivo@outlook.com. Explain your request and provide a reply address; do not attach an identity document, password, card details or private screenshot to the initial message. If identity verification is needed, only necessary information and an appropriate method should be explained separately. Statutory procedures and deadlines apply to formal KVKK requests; contacting support does not replace those requirements.

Collection methods, purposes and legal bases

Photo content is processed through Apple-authorized on-device access, purchase status through StoreKit, support information through email you send us, and technical access data electronically when connecting to the site or a service. Local analysis of allowed photos and verification of Pro entitlements provide the requested app service. Processing necessary to provide that service and respond to related support requests relies on KVKK Article 5(2)(c); legally required retention on Article 5(2)(ç); and necessary legal-claim records on Article 5(2)(e). Limited technical security processing relies on legitimate interests under Article 5(2)(f), subject to not harming fundamental rights and freedoms. Advertising operations that require consent are subject to a separate permission flow; an iOS photo-access permission does not itself provide that consent.

Retention, providers and international processing

Local indexes and preferences remain in the app’s data on your device; the Shotivo operator cannot erase them remotely. We delete resolved support correspondence within 90 days after the request is closed. When longer retention is legally required, only necessary records are kept for the period needed for that obligation or dispute. This rule concerns the operator’s support mailbox; it does not mean that we remotely erase Apple, Google or hosting-provider records. Apple provides purchases, Google advertising and consent management, Microsoft Outlook email, and OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure providers web hosting and security. These services may process necessary transaction, advertising, communication or technical access data in systems outside Türkiye and may have their own retention and privacy practices. Shotivo does not send photo-derived content to these providers. International transfers are subject to applicable legal requirements, including KVKK Article 9. Contact us for information about recipients, retention or applicable transfer safeguards.

Changes

Effective: 8 September 2026. Last updated: 3 October 2026. We update this page when the app or service providers change. Updating this text does not by itself authorize new processing that requires consent; separate permission will be requested where necessary.

Optional tools in version 1.1

This section applies if you use the relevant features in version 1.1 or later; it does not mean this version is already available in every store. Collection names and memberships, manual category corrections and screenshot-to-reminder associations are stored in the app’s local data. Removing an item from a collection does not delete the original in Apple Photos. These local records are subject to your device backup settings.

On iOS 17 and later, choosing Add to Calendar passes the title and dates you enter to Apple’s calendar editor. Shotivo does not read your existing calendar; an event is created only when you save it in that editor. The saved event may sync with your selected calendar account and is subject to that account’s privacy practices. The screenshot and its full recognized text are not automatically added to the event.

To limit review requests, the first-use date, completed-review count and last-request details are kept in local preferences. These counters are not sent to a separate marketing analytics service. Apple controls whether the rating prompt appears; submitting a rating or review is optional.
